WIP: 1:350 Scale NCC-1701 Refit (Thomas)

This version of the famous starship is the refit first seen in Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

The model is lighted with a kit by Trekmodeler.

I am also using photo etch details made by Paragrafix.

So, I encountered a minor hurdle -- something is wrong with the board (I guess) for the lighting kit, so I've had to send it back to Trekmodeler. So I can't do any lighting yet. In the meantime, I started on the saucer -- cutting (a hole in the top for the bridge, outer internal "walls" so that lights will shine out the windows, larger holes for navigation lights) and some assembly (saucer rim pieces). I'll continue doing what I can with the saucer and then the warp engines while I'm waiting on Trekmodeler to send the lights back. I don't expect it to take them long.
